Donations

Your continued support enables us to save another life!!

Each donation of $14.00 will buy another bag of grain, or a dose of wormer.

As the cost of everything continues to rise, we are receiving more requests from peole who can no longer afford to care for their equine friends. In order for us to continue to save these beautiful animals, and afford them the oportunity to make new lives with new families, or to just live out their years with dignity and grace, we need your help. No amount is too small!! Every penny helps make what we do possible. Every donation we have received has been used either for direct care of the animals or construction of new housing and fencing as our family continues to grow.

Those looking to partially or fully sponsor any of the horses please contact us as each horse has different needs, thank you.

Your generosity of any amount will help.

Donations can be made by check to:

LAST CHANCE RANCH

Or make a donation online:

Don’t want to lug those items back in again from your last yard sale or just want them out of your way? We are now accepting any new or used items to be sold in the shops. Anyone having any items they would like to donate can contact Cathy either by e-mail or call 207-948-3440. We certainly appreciate anything that would help keep us going.

Bottle and can donations are accepted year round at the ranch - just drop them off and we will take care of them. If you’d like, we can arrange to pick them up.

We are looking for any individuals who may be interested in becoming foster homes. If you might be interested but are unsure what it entails please contact us through the website and we will provide the information you need.

People News

Congratulations to one of LCR’s biggest supporters! Annette McCormick's dog grooming salon (along with her wonderful family) has moved! "MUDDY PAWS", now resides at 130 Hunter Road in Unity. We all wish you the best of luck and much support.

A big Congratulations to Ashley Sutton on her recent achievement in winning the Community Partners Award at last semester’s Unity College Student Conference. Ashley is a sophomore at Unity College and a volunteer here at the ranch. Ashley won her award by creating “Saddle Up for Change”, a nine week curriculum for an alternative education and therapy program to be used here at the ranch. The program is designed to give at risk youth a sense of independence and rejuvenation. The intention of this program is to take youth that are on the brink of becoming imprisoned and give them a final chance to turn their lives around. Using Equines, the participants will learn communication, responsibility, patience and anticipation. These are all skills that juvenile offenders typically lack. The program will conclude by having the participants perform the skill they have learned at a horse show for guests the students have personally invited.

A big smile here at the ranch as our first grandson comes into the world, welcome Jakobie Ray!

I am proud to welcome aboard my niece Nita Mesaric as Assistant Barn Manager.
